Overview
sdedit is a native macOS video editor. This policy describes what the app and the website at sdedit.app do with information.
What we collect
The sdedit app does not create an account, and we do not operate a backend that receives your media or personal information.
- Video and project files. You choose files to import, save, and export. Those files stay on your Mac unless you move them. We never receive them.
- Preferences. Appearance and similar settings are stored locally with the app (for example in UserDefaults). They are not sent to us.
- Website logs. Our host may log standard request data such as IP address, browser, and pages visited when you use sdedit.app. We do not use that for advertising.
The app does not include advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
How we use information
File access exists only so you can import, edit, save projects, and export video on device. Hosting logs are used to run and debug the website.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We do not share your videos with anyone — we do not have them. Website hosting may process request logs as part of providing the site.
Retention and deletion
Media and projects live on your Mac. Delete those files to remove them. We have no copy. Website logs follow our host's retention defaults.
Children
sdedit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can stop using the app and delete it at any time. Uninstalling does not automatically delete project or export files you saved elsewhere.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
